Fusing 12.3 megapixel image quality and a cinematic 24fps D-Movie Mode, the Nikon D90 exceeds the demands of passionate photographers. Coupled with Nikon's EXPEED image processing technologies and NIKKOR optics, breathtaking image fidelity is assured. Combined with fast 0.15ms power-up and split-second 65ms shooting lag, dramatic action and decisive moments are captured easily. Effective 4-frequency, ultrasonic sensor cleaning frees image degrading dust particles from the sensor's optical low pass filter.

upgrade
Strengths: photo quality, auto setting is more accurate than most, love the higher ISO with reduced noise, size
Weakness: very happy with camera
This is my 5th or 6th nikon digital. I have most recently been using the D80, a camera which I will still carry and found this slight upgrade to be well worth the money. I mated it with a battery pack and have found the battery life to be tremendous. During the month I have owned the camera I have taken close to 1000 pix in snow, beach and low light conditions and like it very well.
