Super Mario 64 DS

Strengths: Graphics, Minigames, Length

Weakness: Sound, It's a port of a 9 year old game

This game is a great remake of a classic Nintendo 64 platformer. It stays true to the original while adding 3 new playable characters, and 36 touch screen minigames. It also adds 30 stars to collect. It's a great game every Nintendo DS owner should own.

Fun adventure game

Strengths: Variety of things to do, different playable characters.

Weakness: Some parts are very simple to complete.

This is a very fun action-adventure game for all ages. It is pretty simple at first to start playing, but there are a ton of levels with a variety of tasks for each level. This is a remake from an N64 game, but a ton of things have been added such as minigames, new playable characters, and the use of the Nintendo DS touch screen. Using the touch screen is not mandatory, but may be preferred to...

Super Mario 64 DS

Strengths: Excellent remix of an already great game.

Weakness: Some camera issues, nothing major.

Super Mario 64 DS is a great remix and an awesome game to show off the DS with. Control with the stylus is relatively simple, and the graphics are on par with the N64 version. The minigames included are very creative, and the ability to use Yoshi, Luigi, and Wario in addition to Mario makes the game worth playing through again. Definately worth playing through for newcomers and veterans alike,...

Super Mario 64 DS

Strengths: The base game here is amazing. Still one of the best. Unlockable minigames are fun.

Weakness: Control is just awful.

You've played Super Mario 64, right? Called the best game ever upon its release by many, the first 3D platformer to do it all right, still one of the best games you could hope to play? Well, now Nintendo has put it on the DS, and they've added a few things to it... while taking out one crucially important element that drops the fun significantly. Super Mario 64 is a free-roaming 3D action game,...

Super Mario 64 DS

Strengths: 3-D, something worth your money. The only thing that gives it a replay value are the mini games. The mini games are fun, unique, and original.

Weakness: If you're going to be playing a 3-D game, you need a analog stick. You could play it using the D-pad, but the game would had been much better if the Nintendo DS had a analog stick.

If you own a Nintendo Ds you must own this game. They are now offering it free when you purchase a Nintedo DS. If you have played Super Mario 64 don't buy it, unless you really liked it. The only new features are you could now use Wario, Luigi, and Yoshi. The only reason I still play it are the mini games. The mini games are fun, unique, and original and you only use the touchscreen to play them....

Strengths: Graphics,great story-line,great moves

Weakness: diolage

This review has helped me to find out a lot more reasons why I should buy such a classic game. This game has oringinal charactes, strong bosses but are still fun to fight, good power-ups,and good abilites that are only used by certain charactes. This is a great game that every DS owner should have.

Super Mario 64 DS

Strengths: Great Graphics, Looks awsome on a handheld. The mini Games.

Weakness: The controls and camera angels.

The adventure option is the exact game as the Nintendo 64 version. The game looks really nice on the DS. With that being said, it is not fun to play. The controls are frustrating and most of the times i cannot make Yoshi go where i want him to. Then the camera is is off and it is hard to turn around and look. Also it gets pretty boring returning to levels just to find more stars. The mini games...

Super Mario 64 DS

Strengths: More charcters than the console version

Weakness: Almost exact port of a 10 year old game; Difficult to control

Super Mario 64 DS is the portable version of the Nintendo 64 Super Mario 64 released almost 10 years ago. The game has exactly the same boxy graphics as the original and manages to carry over all the fun as well. The problem with this tho, is that because there is no analog stick that made the console version control wonderfully, the game is extremely difficult to control on the DS. The best use...

Super Mario 64 DS

Strengths: Multiple characters to play as, Added stuff that wasen't in the N64 version of the game - tons of mini games, some new levels, multiplayer mode

Weakness: no analog stick on the Nintendo DS & you don't have as good of control over your character with the D-Pad or using the Stylus

Remake of the game that defined how 3D Platformers would be made & was the measuring stick for other 3D platformers on the 32-bit, 64-bit systems. On the N64 version of Mario 64 you played as Mario thoughout the whole game. The interesting thing about Mario 64 DS is that you don't even start out playing as Mario when you first start playing the game. You will have to find & free the other...

Super Mario 64 DS

Strengths: Terrific graphics, Expanded gameplay from the N64 original, 4 Playable main characters, Great unlockable touchscreen minigames accessable from start screen, Single cart multiplayer.

Weakness: Difficult to control with digital pad and touchscreen control isn't much better, We've seen it before for the N64 and its similar (120 of the 150 stars are the same).

Just about every gamer knows about Mario 64 and the way it revolutionized platform games and 3-D gameplay. It pretty much started it all. But how does this translate on to a handheld system, half a decade after it was orginally launched? Better than you may think, but some flaws are still evident. Basically, Super Mario 64 DS has two major components. The first is an expanded version of Super...

Super Mario 64 DS Review

Even if, like me, you cringe when you hear "Nintendo" and "port" in the same sentence, you should still check this one out. Fans of the original absolutely must play this, as the new stars, characters, and vastly improved graphics give us the pseudo-sequel that never was. The 36 minigames alone give enough reason to pick this one up, and the single cart multiplayer battle mode is just another...

Super Mario 64 DS

I had a dream last night. During the dream I went and purchased a used Nintendo 64 game console and a copy of Super Mario 64. Before wrapping up my order, the guy behind the counter asked, "Would you like your order to go?" That was strange. I had never been asked that before, but nodded yes just for the heck of it. He then moved the Nintendo 64 aside and handed me a shiny new Nintendo DS....

Super Mario 64 DS

When the Nintendo 64 launched back in 1996, the killer app for the system was Super Mario 64, the game many critics at the time referred to as The Best Game Ever. Now here we are, just over eight years later, and Nintendo is trotting Mario 64 out again to serve as the definitive launch title for its new handheld system, the Nintendo DS. OK, so it's technically not the same game. Instead of a...

Mario 64 DS Review

The little plumber that could returns to a familiar game environment, friends in toe. This Nintendo DS launch title is a faithful recreation of the classic Nintendo game, only in a handheld version, and is one of the best games in the DS’s launch line-up. With added features like wireless multiplayer support and a number of new levels, it easily earns a place in the collection of any DS owner....
