great card

Strengths: fast, 1 of the best bang for the buck cards, can play many games at full quality

Weakness: none so far

it's a great card, i can play all of today's games at at least descent quality, only thing is i'm not sure if it will fit in smaller cases, this card IS pretty long

BFG 8800GT OC

Strengths: Fast card, reasonable price

Weakness: Runs very hot

The BFG 8800GT OC card is one of the top 8800GT cards, with lifetime warranty. I can run pretty much everything maxed out, except Crysis, where I can only run 1650x1080 at DX9 high quality. It's a single slot card so it can fit into tight systems. However, since it's single slot, it runs very hot. The BFG version doesn't have the updated large fan from NVIDIA. In addition, the driver / BIOS make...

Great Video Card Value

Strengths: Powerful as a 8800GTX (almost) and more power efficient

Weakness: price is up due to supply issues but will get better soon

Waited till now to go sli since cards I wanted were too expensive to sli. Two 8800gt cards in sli is the hot setup currently not one 8800gtx since two together is better.

One of the best

Strengths: warranty

Weakness: None yet

This is one of the best 8800GT card. It has dual DVI port which can be used for split displays. Its build quality is solid. It is fast and can handle almost any games currently available. It has also been factory overclocked so you don't need to do so. The fan can be very loud at times. The best part of this card is the lifetime warranty. Overall, I recommend it.

Be sure to grab the BIOS update!

Strengths: G92 core, GDDR3 memory.

Weakness: Needed BIOS update.

I upgraded from an AGP ATI Radeon card in my old rig to my first ever nVIDIA card in my new rig. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this card. When I was shopping for a new card, I found this card to be the best in price and performance. This class of card can easily be had for a Franklin and a Grant. This card ran especially hot, so I scoured the net and found that my card needed a BIOS update....

Has become the bargain gaming card of mid-2008

Strengths: FAST. Factory overclocked. Getting cheaper! This card provides the most GPU power per $ in the history of video cards...no lie. And you can run two of them in SLI if you really need to. But who would?

Weakness: Single slot so runs hotter than a 2-slot cooling system. Stories of the sticker peeling off the cooling fan and jamming the motor scare me. May need a bigger PSU if yours is only 300-350 watts.

The 8800GT cards were $300 (or more) when they first walked the earth, and were worth every dollar in terms of GPU muscle. Nothing could touch their performance. Now, thanks to a series of new card releases and competition between ATI and nVidia, consumers are reaping the benefit. Cards of this ilk have fallen to half (or less!) of their original price. This model comes (slightly) overclocked from...

BFG Geforce 8800 GT OC Video Card

Strengths: excellent performance, good warranty

Weakness: loud fan

i bought this card to replace my old X1950 pro. It is blazing fast, i played everything with MAX settings - COD4, NFS prostreet, PES 08... Crysis maxed out its settings at around 20 fps, but if i use high instead of ultra high, then it jumps to around 30 fps. by the way, my CPU is E2180 OC @ 3.4Ghz, resolution 1650x1050, no AF/AA. Awesome card! the only downside is that the fan is loud. I...

BFG GeForce 8800GT OC 512MB

Strengths: Extremely fast, overclocked out of the box, Grat buy for money - better than similary priced 9600GT

Weakness: None

I upgraded from my old 7900GT - what a difference, I play games and all the games I have that 7900gt was slow - this card handles them with ease. It a great card

Solid gaming card

Strengths: Solid gaming card even at 1920x1200

Weakness: Can run hot , may need a bios flash for auto fan speed to work properly .

Been happy with my BFG GT for awhile now , happy enough I just purchased a second one (for Sli) . Even with a single card I was running all my games at 1920x1200 with no problems and very good frame rates . I really did not "need" to go Sli atm , but did so since prices have fallen nicely lately and to be a bit more furture proof . A pair of these babies in Sli should last me (or anyone) quite...

BFG 8800 GT OC Video Card

Strengths: Very good performance. Slight Overclock. Lifetime warranty. Good price.

Weakness: Heat can be an issue. Stock cooler a bit limited. Card is a bit long but typical.

I needed a card to run 1920x1200 on my 24" monitor, so I chose the BFG 8800GT OC. It does well at lower resolutions but at 1920 it needs a little more help so I'll probably go SLI. You may want to try an aftermarket cooler to address the heat issues. I wished it included an HDMI adapter instead of 2 VGA adapters. BFG list free 24/7 Tech Support and Lifetime Warranty. Overall I'm very happy with...
