Typical AMD Greatness!

Strengths: Quick, quad-core, great price, AMD quality

Weakness: none

AMD has once again given one of the best bangs for the buck with a quad core processor for under $200! This processor will keep up with, if not outperform, superior Intel models while costing much less money. Overall, a wonderful value.

Phenom-inal

Strengths: Value

Weakness: None

AMD is all about VALUE. Any Geek knows this is not the fastest Quad Core on the market. But it IS the best VALUE available with four cores. For under two hundred bucks, you get performance on par with Intel's 250 - 300 dollar processors AND it's backwards compatible with most existing AM2 boards.

A bit long in the tooth!

Strengths: Low power, quad-core, good price to performance

Weakness: Can't compete with Intel, enthusiasts look elsewhere

The much anticipated quad-core was released with a whimper. At least the prices have been driven to> $200 to give it a good price/performance ratio. Maybe when this platform matures it will hit the higher speeds.

While still a considerable powerhouse CPU, the 9500 was replaced with a later B3 stepping core and renamed the 9550. Features Socket type: AM2+ HT Speed:...
