Good Service

Strengths: Fast Delivery & Low Price

Weakness: None

Purchased this adapter cable was a piece of cake. Price was the best of all. 5 days later and I received the product. My Gateway laptop has 4 USB PORTS and no RS232 PORTS therefore this product was a useful for me.

Cables To Go Port Authority USB to DB9 Serial Adapter

Weakness: Did not work for my application

I purchased the generic version of this item to connect the serial computer interface port of an APC Back-UPS Pro UPS to my PC. Unfortunately, when so connected, the adapter causes the UPS to shut down a few seconds after the PC is powered on.

usb to serial cable

Strengths: price

Weakness: no signed vista 64 drivers

this product does not have "signed" vista 64 bit drivers. Vista 64 requires "signed" drivers. If you have all of the latest updates for vista loaded there is a work around; while booting press F8 and select "disable driver signature enforcement"; now the cable will work but you have to do this at each boot up.
