Fine, but 8GB has a catch
Strengths: Easily overclocks to 1800MHz; price has fallen dramatically. 4GB works linked and sync'd @ 1600-9-8-8-20-2T on the Asus Striker II Extreme @ 1.9V.
Weakness: Trying 8GB? Then you won't have stability at anything higher than 1333-7-7-7-20-2T.
Bought 8GB to fill an Asus Striker II Extreme. It will POST even as high as 2GHz, but it's completely unstable in MemTest and Prime95 unless you underclock it to 1333-7-7-7-20-2T, unlinked. With 4GB, 1600-9-8-8-20-2T linked 'n sync'd is no problem, but you do have to remember to go into the BIOS and set the Vdimm to 1.9V...and try the latest Asus BIOS update.
