Solid card - great price

Strengths: Price per performance ratio, compatibility, driver support

Weakness: Budget card so limited for gaming, no HMDI output, rebate company flaky

This card is an excellent choice for a value card. Better than onboard video, this is fine for most low end or HTPC applications. Foxconn is a top notch company and I have has nothing but great things to say about them recently. The rebate processor they use, myrebates411.com, on the other hand is not the most honest operation. Be prepared to fight for your rebate.

Foxconn GeForce 8500 GT Video Card (256MB, PCI...

Strengths: Works great with Vista, Quiet, Great HD-DVD and BluRay playback, Good for gaming.

Weakness: Budget card makes it not a good choice for high-end games (Crysis, etc.), seems to have possible driver issues.

I recommend this card to anyone who uses their computer to play HD movies as well as those who enjoy playing games in the mid-range graphics category. Although I seemed to have issues getting the drivers to install, off of the cd it came with, for my Emachine T5234 running Windows Vista 32-bit.

awesome

Strengths: can get for cheap, relatively fast

Weakness: none

this is my first REAL vid card to run on my MS Vista premium system. It is an excellent deal for the money I paid (after rebate). Sure there are alot better cards out there but for the money it can't be beat. I read somewhere it is a good card for media center usage and not games so i bought it. For games though the 8800 would be better
