Good to have two controllers

Strengths: Light weight and responsive

Weakness: R2 and L2 buttons feel strange

I purchased this as a second controller in order to be able to play Virtua Fighter 5 and Resistance Fall of Man Coop with friends. It works great. Unlike other reviewers, I did not have a Playstation 2, so I do not miss the lack of rumble and I actually like the light weight as it makes using the sixaxis motion control easier for me in Heavenly Sword. My only complaint would be that the R2 and L2...

Sixaxis Controller

Strengths: This controller lives up to all the hype. The ability to move it and have the games react is amazing and aids in the overall experience of gameplay. Being wireless it allows freedom to move around.

Weakness: I have yet to find any weaknesses in this controller.

I would recommend this product to everyone that has a PS3. This product will not let you down. The bluetooth wireless capabilities are great and the battery charge lasts exceptionally long.

A second controller is worth the incremental cost,...

Strengths: Seamless integration with bluetooth, very good sensitivity and response, the sixaxis functionality (in tyheory).

Weakness: Few games use the sixaxis well (and some make it downright annyoing), the cost, not quite left-handed-friendly, and no rumble.

I bought the second controller with the PS3, still a little taken aback that Sony only included one with the PS3 system. (Of course, it's not hard to figure out why anything that would have upped the base system's price even *more* would be left out). Battery life is quite good (at least early on in the controller's lifecycle -- obviously I've only had it a few months), the bluetooth is...

Same great controller from Sony, but no rumble!

Strengths: Feels good in your hand Has consistent form factor with previous dual-shock controllers from Sony Bluetooth wireless works well, and through walls!

Weakness: No Rumble! Battery recharging through USB cable to PS3 is a problem if your PS3 is tucked away in a closet. Battery life is short, requiring the unit to plug back in after every session. Too light?

The Sony Playstation 3 controller is everything that you have come to expect from a Sony controller except rumble. Sony wasn't willing to pay Immersion for a license or develop technology themselves. A new controller with rumble will be released some time in the spring. The battery life on the unit is fine for playing, but doesn't last through many sessions. Because my PS3 is tucked away in a...

Nice controller.

Strengths: Almost same as PS2 controller. "Analog" L2 and R2 buttons. Wireless, turns PS3 on/off. Great battery life. Lightweight.

Weakness: No rumble. Sixaxis.

This controller has pretty much the same feel as the PS2 controller and so diving into the new games is extremely easy. The "analog" L2 and R2 buttons were a great change, especially for driving games. Even with a rechargeable battery inside, the controller remains extremely light. Wireless control is a delight, as well as being able to turn the PS3 on/off from it. Sixaxis is kind of difficult to...

Slick

Strengths: Motion control is awesome, wireless, great battery

Weakness: No rumble, not sure I miss it though

In comparison to the PS2 controller, there seems little difference for the Sixaxis. There are a few button shape changes, but those changes fade quickly. The motion control is really cool, although some games don't really use it well or at all. The wireless function is great, especially compared to the RF or infrared controllers from the PS2. The controller can also turn on/off the PS3 remotely,...

Sony PS3 Sixaxis Controller

Strengths: Bluetooth (no wires!), good battery life, no lag

Weakness: No rumble?

The official Sony Play Station 3 Sixaxis controller just plain works. Third party controllers tend to use RF instead of bluetooth, which seems like a waste to me since the PS3 has the bluetooh built into the system. . .I prefer not to have an receiver dongle plugged in if I don't need to. That said, the bluetooth wireless works great, just press the PS button and you're paired; pretty painless....

PS3 Wireless Controller - Sixaxis

Strengths: This is truly a wonderful controller and well worth the $50. Sony has brought us a controller with a familiar feel but improved upon past design. Truly the lack of rumble doesn't effect my experience

Weakness: No rumble feature. Too light.

Heres some of the great things about this controller: 1. Lifetime warranty from Sony if controller dies. 2. Six-Axis Motion Sensing. 3. Light weight, feels more like an extension of my arm/hand. 4. Wireless 5. 30 hour charge 6. no batteries to replace or rechargeable batteries to buy 7. USB B port so i can charge the controllers with anything with a USB B

Decent basic controller

Strengths: Wireless, lightweight, rechargeable

Weakness: General size, price

This is an overall nice, basic controller for the PS3. The controller is very light and wireless. Battery length has been pretty decent so far. i like that you can turn on the system with the remote, it's very convenient. Some people complain of the lack of rumble, but it never really bothered me. I was never a huge fan of PS controllers (in general)since I have large hands, but I can deal with...

SIXAXIS to Turn Your Sixth Sense On

Strengths: Motion Sensor capability really helps when playing third-person shooter games.

Weakness: None!

We are being spoiled by its Bluetooth wireless capability because now we can be relaxing far away from our television and still be able playing games without any transmission delays.
