Beware!

Strengths: Fastest card in production today

Weakness: well known driver issues that cause your PC to get the Blue Screen of Death, no concrete solutions.

8800's are having a known issue that causes you to get the BSOD , mine wouldnt even boot up all the way from the moment I installed the drivers. Been building my own systems for 6+ years I'm no novice. If you want this card I'd find someone with a working rig and copy it as closely as possible

Worth the money

Strengths: Amazing graphics

Weakness: ...cost? sometimes it gets loud

Yes, it is a high-priced card. But, well worth the money. Beware though, it is large enough that it hangs over an additional pci slot. If you are limited with space, make sure you measure it out before buying!

Fast!

Strengths: powerful, dx10 card

Weakness: price, dual slots, long

This is a monsterous card, and way powerful. I am currently running it with a pentium d 820, 2 gb ram, and I have played every game on max settings with EVERYTHING turned on. I also max it to my monitor's native resolution of 1920x1200. I did upgrade from a 7900gtx and I do see a difference in power.

The Beast Unleased...

Strengths: DirectX 10, Powerful, Fast.

Weakness: Uses 2 slots, Idles at about 130 degrees F.

From XFX comes another beast of a video card. The 8800 GTS 640MB card provides superb speed with it's powerful GPU. Sporting the new DirectX 10 allows it to climb to new heights that the previous DirectX 9 series of cards could not achieve. Backed by XFX's Double Lifetime Warranty makes this card an even better choice and worth every penny. The only downfalls to this card is that it uses 2 slots...

8800 GTS

Strengths: easy setup, power performance

Weakness: none

No other competition worth the price.Fully DirectX 10 compliant, unified shader design allows the GPU to pull from all the available stream processors, rather than having individual shaders full cpu capacity available. Forget the overclocked version this card overclocks 660/ 1000 stock cooling out of the box.

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX and 8800 GTS: Unified Powerhouses

The GeForce 8800 GTX's performance was for more dominant. In every benchmark we ran, the GeForce 8800 GTX was clearly the best performer, and in some cases it doubled the performance of any of the previous generation, single-GPU powered cards. And it did so with superior image quality. There is simply no currently other consumer level video card that can come close to matching the performance of...
