Great TV for the Money

Strengths: Good picture quality on HD channels & DVD player; Built-in NTSC/ATSC/QAM Tuner; Side connectors make AV connections easy to access (even when hung on wall); VGA input; Excellent value

Weakness: Only 2 aspect ratio adjustments (Standard, Fill); Only 1 HDMI input; Remote is not universal; Contrast ratio is not as good as more expensive models; A bit slow in changing channels

Since I already had a plasma TV in the living room, I purchased this TV for the purpose of using it as a secondary TV for the master bedroom, so I wasn't expecting too much from it. Westinghouse 37" LCD Picture-In-Picture Big Screen TV

Strengths: Excellent resolution, crisp image. Knowledgeable US customer service reps available MON-SAT at toll-free 800 number.

Weakness: Without an out-of-pocket $100-plus HDMI cable, no PIP viewing is possible no matter how many other inputs and signal sources you use. Cable Company in my area is not providing the HDMI cable yet.

Immediately test functioning of all connectors. Item arrived with no apparent visual damage, notwithstanding tattered packing and all Styrofoam disintegrated as if it had cascaded over a cliff. No display was possible using the s-video input connecting a VCR even though display was possible with the the VCR using coax to the RF input. Thus the service phone-rep was able to determine the S-video...

Strengths: cheap, bright, easy to use after setup, 1 yr warranty, nice sound, nice remote, setupable color temp

Weakness: limited manual, sound isnt loud enough, not user friendly setup, box is too big, NO CABLES at all, westy have sucks Customer Support. only support Horizontal fit and full screen

The major weakness of this tv is the lack of cable, which is quite questionable considering that this TV is quite expensive but they didnt throw any cables on the box. the box package is also quite big, mostly consist of foam to hold the TV. setup is right out of the box, but the configuration to set the over the air reception is not user friendly since it is giving a long pause between...

Strengths: Great picture, easy to use
