Be wary of the 7900 series

Strengths: Great performance at high resolutions. Quiet and cool.

Weakness: High failure rate for 7900 GT and GTX cards from multiple manufacturers.

The Best

Strengths: The onboard fans are quite and you can run two of them in SLI mode thus effectively haveing a 1 Gb video card system. For the rest see the specs on the web-site.

Weakness: The price and the overall size of the card. You need a large case for this card especially if you plan to run two in SLI mode. I have a ASUS Vento 3600 case and they almost did not fit.

I have been using two of them in SLI mode for over 1 month. They have not over-heated or locked up my computer. Best of all they run without problems on my operating system (Window XP Pro X64 Edition). If you plan to use two in SLI mode you are going to need a BFPS, something > 800 watts. No reason not to take a serious look at this card, it matches the performance you have seen on numerous web sites, follows reference design to the letter and has a double lifetime warranty. Great card

BEST CARD ON THE PLANET

Strengths: 1940 x 1440 BF2, Quake4, Fear, all maxed out, full HDSR enabled. Can you spell SMOKING!!! And low temperatures... nvidia does it again...!

Weakness: Price... (unless you know where to look ;-)

This is the best card on the planet. The 7900gtx smokes everything Ati throws at it. You cannot beat SLI, crossfire sucks. If you want the absolute best graphics, then look no further than the Nvidia geforce 7900 GTX!!!

Artifacts

Strengths: Very nice performance when it is workings, beats the crap out of my ATI 850XT

Weakness: Artifacts in BF2 ... looks like this card has serious issues with the clock speeds (check for other posts on this issue).

Once the issues are ironed out, I would recommend this card - but not before, this is very annoying. Mine is an XFX card, but looks like all vendors are having the same issue.

Strengths: Runs everything on highest settings on my 24 inch widescreen monitor. does not raise my system temps at all. best card out there. Double lifetime warranty

Weakness: price

This is a great card.. I am able to play everything at 1900x1600 resolution without any problems at all. Everything looks beautiful. Might even consider get another one for SLI
