The first battery I received didn't hold a charge but I was sent a new one right away at no extra charge. Great customer service and speedy shipping. I would highly recommend using them for all my computer needs.

12-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery

Strengths: Gives you more current independent worktime.

Weakness: A little bit bulky and heavy (if you travel a lot)

The specification says that it will give you up to 8 hours of worktime, but that depends a lot on what you are doing. My own experience is that the batterie is good for about 4-5 hours real worktime. Together with the original batterie it will give you 6-7 hours which is quite enough if you are traveling in an airplane in the US. For longer flights you should have two batteries.

Weakness: A tad pricy, and heavier than the original.

I bought this for my girlfriend’s Presario v5000. The old 6-cell was worn out and lasting 20 minutes if she was lucky. This 12-cell is light-years better! Battery Review

Strengths: Very noticeable improvement in battery life over 6-cell

Weakness: Bulges out from the the laptop

My HP Pavilion dv4000 was virtually useless for traveling because the 6-cell battery would die after 90 minutes. I'm not really sure how long the 12-cell lasts because I always seem to have enough power. It probably lasts around 3 hours, but it made a huge difference. Strengths: Double the run time on the laptop.

Weakness: Twice the size of the original battery.

Came in as a "opened item" this was stated on the site, the package was a little rough. However this was a great overall value and there were no challenges with the battery.

My husband says this may be the best gift I ever gave him! His laptop was only lasting about 15 minutes on battery power, and now it lasts close to four hours! I don't think he'll be without a 12-cell ever again. (I know I won't be!) Along with the memory upgrade, he almost feels like he has a new laptop.
