placed order sunday october 24th confirmed on wednesday october 27th. on saturday october 2nd notified it was on backorder even though the site said and continues to say in stock. prices were high and I probably wouldnt even have considered them but they had a rebate on the 16x dvd drive I wanted. I won't use them again there are too many good companies out there that would have had it delivered by time I got confirmation from thrm. Overall Rating

Very poor customer service after the sale. I purchased an item and the price dropped on the site the next day, prior to shippment. BestBuy.com will not do price adjustments or the people at the 800 support number (customer service) after the sale are no help. Shame on your management!!! Overall Rating

Really POOR cutomer service. Ordered a Sony Camcorder online on 11/29/02, was told it was in stock. On 12/02 recieved e-mail was on back order. On 12/06 recieved e-mail they had canceled my order, as it would not go on my Visa. Called Capital one,called bbuy and they would not honor price on the order, asked for supervior, refused, sent e-mail, no reply after six days. Bought much better Sony on another online site, cheaper than best buy lower model! Overall Rating

Very, very bad experience purchasing a wide screen, rear projection television from bestbuy.com. My order was cancelled, the price went up $200 and customer reps were totally unhelpful. No supervisors were available. Two days go by and finally a supervisor calls. Just as uncooperative and arrogant as the first CSR. I will never make a purchase with them again. Too many other places selling the same stuff at the same or better prices. Overall Rating

I purchased an Advent tv from BestBuy.com. After two months the tv stopped working. Advent won't fix it and other than making some phone calls to Advent, Bestbuy will not do anything about it. They won't even give me an exchange. They say I have to contact Advent. I will never deal with them again. Overall Rating

I will never make another purchase from WorstBuy nor WorstBuy.com. I was in the market for the most expensive PC display they sell ($3000+)& received no consideration, so do not expect any resonable treatment if you are buying anything less. Their markup on the Samsung 240T is ~$700 > the best price on PriceGrabber! WorstBuy is not only out-of-line with their prices & have the Worst customer service. Also, after multiple calls as far up as the president's office, obviously, they do not care! Overall Rating

I have just some things to add to all those people complaining. If your order something off bestbuy.com and chose INSTORE pick up. Then you item has to be instock "AT" the store you chose not at the bestbuy.com warehouse if it is not in stock your order will be cancled. As for the people that buy stuff and it breaks 2 months later what do you expect. All products come with factory warrenties. But to use them YOU have to fill out the little card and mail them in. Regardless of the other reviews, my experience with BESTBUY was great ! I ordered an MP3 Player and chose the "store pick up" option. I received a confirmation within 2 hours ( not as promised in 24 hours !!) and my player was ready when I went to pick it up. Everything was VERY EASY. I have tried to find this MP3 everywhere for the past six weeks and they had it in stock. Overall Rating

Horrible. Ordered a TV, but BestBuy cancelled it due to a "critical error," and then went ahead and charged my credit card TWICE. Kept trying to pass the buck to the credit card company, and after 10+ calls, issue is still not resolved. These guys are not crooks, but completely incompetent. Customer service is friendly, but obviously doesn't want to deal with any real problems. Overall Rating

(Edited August 19th by secretshopper)  Beware of buying anything from in-store/on-line at BestBuy. Returns are worst than hell. Once they sold to you, it's your problem. Good luck, if your product came defective. They will give you an awful hard time exchanging or returning it...Don't be like me. They purposely made me stand for one hour while the crew fiddled with the computer/my item and pretended not to find my order#...Service is really terrible...Price-wise they're either average or expensive. I got a 27 inch tv in one order, a 27 inch tv in another order, these were shipped to me free of charge in a special Best Buy truck. No problems at all. One was a Christmas gift and was received in plenty of time. I ordered a printer and ink cartridges and decided to return these to the store and had no problem. My charge card was credited the next day. I also ordered dvd movies many times. Great service and free shipping. I recommend highly! Overall Rating

I rue the day I ever purchased my HP laptop from Best Buy. Within two weeks of buying it, my computer crashed several times. After 4 trips back to Best Buy, they said nothing was wrong. Interestingly enough, I shipped it out to Hewlitt Packard who said the mother board needed to be replaced. Then I find out that MSN had been charging me for internet access that I never signed up for because Best Buy gave them my credit card number without my authorization after I bought my laptop. I ordered a vpr Matrix 220A5 notebook computer on-line, and paid extra for expedited shipping. When the shipment arrived (later than I had hoped) it was a Sony VAIO machine I didn't want. I returned it to the local store and they were very uncertain about how to handle it. They finally suggested that I go home and re-order (making a second charge to my credit card). Then they would cancel the first charge, if I brought my receipt in. I finally got the charge cancelled and went elsewhere. Overall Rating

I had bought a Samsung - 17" Widescreen LCD Stereo HDTV Monitor. Got it home to find out that TV was not accepting IRDA signal. 2 weeks later I get it back. Was watching it before bed... sound goes out. Too pissed off to mess around so I go to bed... Next day wont turn on at all. Take it back... 2 months later "I" call Bestbuy, they lost my TV. I did get a refund in the form of a gift card. But this is POOR SERVICE! Will never shop there again. Will tell all my friends and family to pass it on Overall Rating

It's been my worst online experience ever! Imagin this, I placed an order on July 22, my credit card has been charged, and up to this point (Aug. 16) I still haven't gotten a thing from them. I made several calls & spent couple of hrs total to be on hold & in order just to remind them to ship the goods. They promised to ship it on 7/30...then nothing happens, then I called back again on 8/3, they again promised to ship it the following day...However, I am still waiting...Poor service! VOID. Worst experience I've ever had at a store. I was blatantly lied to by the CRS about what their Service Plan covered, then was denied even an apology when I tried to get my product repaired. This cost me $500. Will never even go back into the store or web site again, and tell everyone I know to stay away. ihatebestbuy Overall Rating

Seems like most people on here are very unhappy with BestBuy. I must be the exception. I ordered a Epson C82 printer for $30 after 2 rebates and got the printer in 3 days from day of the order. Now I haven't gotten the rebate checks yet, but I'm sure they will get here, I made copies of everything. I'm very pleased with the quickness of delivery even using free ground shipping. I'm not saying my printer will never break, but the warranty is covered through Epson, not BestBuy. Overall Rating

Best Buy is a horrible company. Purchasing a warranty does not seem to even help as they will ignore all replacements for your valid warranty. Item that was purchased was a Casio digital camera. The IBM flash card has died within the warranty period. Best Buy has been pawning off who we should call to get a replacement on other people (Example: Call the store they tell you to call corporate. Customer service is known to hang up on you. I will not purchase from them anymore. Overall Rating

Do not purchase anything from BestBuy.com I purchased a computer from them 2 weeks ago. First of all, the computer (an e-machines) is a piece of crap. Secondly, the online rebate is no longer online. After browsing the reviews on this board, 90% of the negative reviews appear to be "pilot error". I have purchased from bestbuy countless times, and have never had a problem. Online, instore, online for instore pickups; everything from a $2000 TV to going in the store for an audio cable, I have had no problems whatsoever with the employee's, the delivery men, or the customer service reps when I do need to return something. I highly recommend Bestbuy and will continue to give them my business. Overall Rating

These guys are excellent! I have been searching for an Olympus c5050 for several weeks. Unlike other companies with whom I tried to do business, BestBuy had the camera in stock, gave me helpful advice about its operation, and arranged for me to receive it in plenty of time to meet my deadline.
