I placed an order with this company for a 4gb industrial CF card, and paid a premium for 2nd day shipping. I received a confirmation email but was never told the item was back ordered. Extremely unprofessional. If I could give zero stars I would do so.
OnSale.com, same company as PC Mall, Mac Mall and Club Mac. They all have the same item numbers and same web design. Matter of fact,the billing and email are from PC Mall.
On 10/19/07, I ordered a Samsung HLT5087S for $1,030 including shipping with OnSale.com. It is a about $300 less than the lowest price I saw any where.
On 10/22/07, PC Mall/OnSale.com stated that "we currently don't have an update of when we are be getting the item from the manufacturer. It might take another 2 weeks to get an update from them." Even though all four web sites still continue listing the same item as in stock and will ship next business day.
On 11/5/07, I received a telephone call from PC Mall/ OnSale.com advising me that they still do not have an expected delivery date from Samsung to their central warehouse. But they can ship from their affiliates' warehouse for $1,495 plus shipping. They canceled my order after I declined their offer to buy the more expensive unit.
I placed an order for an Acrobat 7.0 Upgrade from Standard to Pro. The description of the item online 'Description: Acrobat 7.0 Professional (Upgrade from Standard ver.)'. I placed the order, received an order confirmation immediately. After 10 days, sent an email requesting the order status since I hadn't received it. No response. Called a couple days later, spoke with someone who was clueless. Spent ten minutes explaining that I had the Standard version and was trying to upgrade to Pro 7.0. He tried telling me Pro was different from Professional at one point, and then also told me that I needed to upgrade to 8.0 Pro in order to upgrade to 7.0 Pro...what?? After 20 minutes on the phone, the guy told me the product was discontinued, and the product I ordered was a license and that it required a minimum of 50 licenses. Two problems: 1)the description of the product on the website didn't indicate this and 2)why was I allowed to order 1. Not recommended - bad website, bad service. Ordered product on a Thursday. Was told that it was in stock. Needed on Monday and paid 2nd freight charges. Wasn't shipped until Friday. Customer Service was nasty and unresponsive. I was looking for an upgrade memory for my computer and I compared the price with other stores. PC Mall had the lower price and when I checked out their website, they had just what I was looking for. To make it even better, they offered 6 months same as cash and all you had to do was place the order and set-up a PC Mall account. I placed my order, and I was approved in a matter of a few minutes. First time ordering from PC Mall. Would have been nice to have a picture of the product and more details on the product specifications to make sure I was ordering the correct upgrade kit. I purchased on a wing and a prayer based on model number. Never said if it was in stock. Just had a status of "Usually Ships Same Day". Hopefully the product will be delivered OK! If you ever have a problem or return, customer service is GREAT. I order all sorts of parts and I can always be confident they will have what I need. On the product info, you site had more information that sold me on purchasing this product from your website, plus along with the $50.00 mail-in rebate. Plus back in the early 90's I had serverl buys, and never had a problems. (U the Man)

Good selection of merchandise, but poor customer service.
When I placed order I specifically chose and paid for 2nd day UPS. However. my choice was ignored and sent via FedEx instead. Also, they do not provide tracking numbers even if you call them and ask. They say its 'for your protection'. Never had any company refuse to provide tracking numbers.
