Strengths: Bright illumination, programmable function keys, key-touch response, super-thin, stylish, rubberized coating on wrist rest, doesn’t disappoint!
Weakness: None so far!
First off I have to say this is the best keyboard I've ever used! I am a programmer which means I type code several hours a day and this keyboard makes typing code a breeze. I originally had the Saitek Eclipse II illuminated keyboard which was cool since it offered different color illumination but it felt cheap (especially when compared to this Logitech keyboard). I ended up winning a wireless Logitech keyboard in a contest; the diNovo which is a super-thin desktop keyboard but it, of course, doesn't illuminate. When I checked out the Logitech web site I found this illuminated, ultra-thin keyboard and immediately wanted it. So I sold the wireless one and used the money to buy the illuminated one.
This keyboard has the same thin keyboard factor as a laptop keyboard has however, in my opinion, this keyboard still has a better key response than any laptop keyboard I've used. The rubberized wrist rest is absolutely awesome; it makes typing for long periods of time a joy and gives the keyboard a smooth clean look and feel. This keyboard looks way more professional than the Saitek one. The programmable keys are a nice touch as well and the volume up/down and mute keys are great. The software for this keyboard is pretty cool as well. I especially like the on-screen-display provided by the software; when you press a function key it shows what program is going to run and when you press the volume keys it shows bars much like most TVs do.
Some things to point out, there is a clear plastic trim around the Logitech keyboard and when I first saw it I thought that maybe that part illuminated as well… it doesn't but it's no big deal, still looks nice. My recommendation to Logitech would be to make another version of this keyboard with an aluminum trim instead of the clear plastic; I think that would look really nice!
This keyboard has three illumination settings 100%, 50%, and 25%, and of course, off. The nice thing is that when you reboot the computer it remembers which brightness setting was previously used. Also this keyboard illuminates when the computer is turned on (if previously set) so that you can see the keys even during the bios screen. The bottom line is that I would definitely recommend this keyboard to my friends and family… and even complete strangers.

Strengths: Excellent feel to the keys, and great illumination
Weakness: The function keys illuminate the special functions instead of illuminating the function key numbers (F1, F2 etc).
This is by far my favorite keyboard. The keyboard does have the flat notebook type keys, but they have a great feel when typing. Most of the keyboard has that black rubber type coating on it, and a very classy looking clear acrylic trim around the outside edges of the keyboard.
The backlighting on the keys is white colored, and it has 3 different brightness settings. Its MUCH brighter than my previous Saitek II keyboard, and I can see all the keys illuminated cleary. Something I couldn't say about my Saitek keyboard.
It plays games just fine, as long as you get used to the laptop style keys which have a nice snap to them.
I know there was one review posted by someone (the same person) on different review sites stating that certain combination of key presses don't register. However he/she is wrong, as I have tried it and never once could I get the keyboard to skip key presses like he was claiming. The only way that would happen is if you are typing incorrectly. Many others have also stated he is wrong.

THE GOOD: Comfortable; minimalist design; convenient backlit keys; strong tactile feedback; easy to install. THE BAD: Lacks wireless support; no USB ports; fixed wrist pad attracts fingerprints. THE BOTTOM LINE: The keys on the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard are comfortable to use and emit a satisfying click, but it lacks convenient features weve come to expect from a PC keyboard. Nevertheless, we...
The Illuminated Keyboard is a super thin wired desktop keyboard from Logitech.
