Strengths: Tons of Fans (7 120mm, 1 huge top fan), Fan filters, Fans have fan controller built in accessible from outside case. Case painted ALL Black including inside. Cable management in back.
Weakness: VERY HEAVY! Requires extra long cables from power supplies if you want to do cable management. Expensive.
Case costs on average 170 which is still quite a bit. Under 150 would have been worth it more. I love the black paint inside the case too. Really easy to work with, plenty space. No sharp edges (unlike antec 900). Looks better than the antec 900 just alot heavier. E-sata on front is a nice feature if you use it otherwise just an extra wire in your case.

Strengths: Great Looking, Ample Space, Air Flow, Cable Management, Dust Filters for Fans, Solidly Built, Many design improvements over Antec 900
Weakness: Plain Stick-on Rubber Feet, Price, Wish I could turn off LEDs on Fans, Heavy, PSU cables may be too short to reach
Absolutely Great Case! I've owned many top of the line gamer cases, and this would have to be my favorite. It is truly a well designed case and great looking to boot. It is all black inside and out. All fans have Blue LEDs. Personally I would have liked no LEDs, but if I have to have them blue is the best color. The fans have speed controls on the outside of the case which makes it easy to change speeds without digging inside the case. The hard drive bays have been redesigned to use long specialty screws which make installing the hard drives a cinch. Only downside is to not lose the screws. This is a far improvement from the Antec 900 where my single greatest complaint was installing the hard drives. A normal screwdriver with magnetic bits wouldn't fit, and I was forced to use a non-magnetic screwdriver with the drive bay being held upside down on its side to install the screws. Needless to say not fun! Antec does seem to listen to their customers and makes revisions on their cases to make their customers happy. I love the cable management solution. They now have holes along the motherboard tray where you can place the cables behind the motherboard tray to conceal them from view. This improves the neatness of the case and helps the air flow. It is much easier to work on the inside of this case since it is larger than the Antec 900. There is now a couple of inches between the motherboard and the top fan and the power supply. There isn't any problem plugging cables onto the motherboard in certain spots anymore. There is now an eSATA connector included on the front ports of this case. There is also a flat space on top of the case that is large enough to store an external hard drive. It is obviously designed for that because the case is even set where the plastic on the top of the case keeps the cables in place as they run across it. It is simple things like that that let a buyer know that a lot of work and design has gone into making this case great. The only thing I would maybe change on the next revision is the stick-on rubber feet. When I was moving it to on top of my desk one came off. I was able to put it back on, but a better solution could be done to make the case even better. Also, don't buy this if you plan to move it a lot and don't have a good back. It is a solid case but heavy especially if you load it down with lots of hard drives or other hardware.

Strengths: This tower has lots of space (compared to the five hundred) which makes installation of components really easy. All the grills are guarded by dust filters which is a welcome addition.
Weakness: The case is huge and therefore I would have really liked a carrying handle (like cooler master stackers).
Overall highly recommended if you can get a good price. The side fan in my opinion is not necessary unless you are worried about heating for any reason. The case has an eSATA port on the front which makes it kind of future proof. Also, I really liked the nice black shiny finish inside which made the overall appearance appealing.

Strengths: air flow, ample room for large vid cards, front eSATA, looks like a monster :D
Weakness: PSU on the bottom is the worst design idea, sounds as loud as an airplane, do not need 1200 fans, blue leds are too bright, etc.
If you want to install dual video cards (nvidia SLI or ati crossfire) and a good sound card, do NOT get this case! The power supply installed on the bottom of the case will significantly reduce airflow. The PSU fan and a the vid card fan (when facing down) fight each other, because they are so close. With most of the good vid cards taking up 2 pci slots worth of room, there is zero room left between the PSU and the 2nd vid card. I was hoping that Antec would have improved on the 900 case design by putting the PSU at the top and losing the noisy, hard to find 200mm fan on top. I am going to buy a "normal" case design to make the best gaming pc. :D

The power supply on the bottom of the case should be pulling air out of the case and away from the video cards increasing airflow. In a PSU on top design it pulls air away from the CPU, if you fan is blowing in it would be blowing warm PSU air onto the CPU.
I agree far more with MasticX except I'm confused about the syntax in the last sentence.
But the PSU on the botton is a GREAT DESIGN! As long as you get a PSU that has long enough cables to reach the main motherboard power.
The PSU if it has a top central mounted fan sucks the warm / hot air from the lowest Graphics card and pulls it out the back of the case fan. The twelve hundred is nicely designed that way to pull air out of the system in three channels. Most cases have an eddy of warm air surrounding graphics cards which can hurt there ability to cool effectively, not to mention that - those designs raise over all case temps / esp. in the lower half.
This reviewer is possibly like many that think the PSUs blow air back into the case or ?? that's the only way those fans fight! Plus if it's a concern and you are a high end gamer go with a dual slot external venting graphics card!
Your review was either BIASED / or just mis-informed.
P.P.S the 200mm FAN on top is ULTRA QUIET. B/C of it's enormous size it spins slower (READ QUIETER) and still does a large amount of air flow due to it's size. DID you break yours and that's why you are looking for a replacement and so jaded about the review?.....
The Twelve Hundred is a gaming case from Antec. Created with hot components in mind the Twelve Hundred focuses on the basics: cooling those components, and showing them off at the same time. The largest gaming enclosure from Antec, the Twelve Hundred has tons of room for multiple over-sized graphics cards, and a great deal of cooling capacity with tripple 120mm intake fans, dual 120mm exhaust...
