Strengths: Nice elevation drawing capability, if that is all you need.... I suppose it could be a decent program if they got the BUGS OUT of it.
Weakness: The main feature I wanted does not work. Software bugs make me scream. No tech support at all, they do not email you back.
I wanted to build an external garage. So I needed to draw a blueprint in order to get permits and hire contractors. Shouldn't be too hard me thinks, vs hiring an architect for a plan, let's save some dough. Well,,,
The elevation layout feature worked ok, but that was about it. I could not make it draw a foundation with footers. I could not change the placement height of windows and header framing. I could not make it understand I wanted to have prefabricated roof trusses, and then floor in a space in the attic. It would not let me frame a set of stairs leading up into a floored-in attic. It would not let me place windows and trim into the front of the roof area instead of dormers. I could draw the 12/12 roof ok, but could not layout gables, eave overhangs, and gutters. I could not make the software "texture" feature show bricks and shingles. ETC.
So, after fiddling with this one for a week or two, and still not hearing back from tech support on why the textures don't work, etc, I want my money back.
Dont waste your money on this unless you ONLY need a nice elevation drawing. Although, I wonder if it will print, as I have not tried that yet...
