Dual shock 2 Controller, Green

Strengths: Excellent size, great feel, sturdy design

Weakness: None

The dual shock 2 controller for the playstation 2 is a great controller. The controller has a great feel to it, not too big for even a child’s hands, and not built of flimsy materials. It is also featured in a various array of colors.

Many of the buttons on the controller are analog which means the controller responds to how hard you press the buttons. It also has the same design as the Dual Shock 1 designed for the original Playstation to keep controls familiar to the upgraded playstation 2. Overall, this is my favorite controller and I cannot think of a better design than playstation has implemented.

A good sturdy colorful PS2 controller

Strengths: Sturdy, colorful, well laid out

Weakness: cord could be longer

If you are familiar with the basic Sony PS2 controller, then the only thing unique about this controller is the color. The basic controller is solid black. This one is an bright translucent green color. It stands out compared to the basic controller. Because the controller is translucent you can see the components inside the controller which is cool.

The Sony PS2 controllers have 2 joysticks, four "trigger" button in front, four buttons (triangle, X, circle, box) to the right of one joystick and four directional buttons to the left of the other joystick. There is a start and select button in the center between the joysticks. These PS2 controller (like all Sony PS2 controllers) are "analog" - meaning that the controllers sense how hard the buttons are being pressed and can provide that info to the PS2 so that the software can react differently between a hard push and a light touch.

My only complaint with the Sony controller is that I wish they had a little longer cord. The cord is 8 ft long.

Overall, I would highly recommend this controller if you want something bright and colorful.

Dual Shock 2 Control

Strengths: good controller

Weakness: none

Would recommend this controller. It's made for the PS2 and it works great. Great color. Couldn't find anything wrong with this controller. Better than the off brands...

Dual Shock 2 Control

Strengths: Very solid good controller

Weakness: not as cool as the blue one, in my opinion

It's as good as the original black controller. It's better when you have 4 friends playing together. It gets difficult to seperate the controller if they are the same color. Not with this one. Highly recommanded.

Dual Shock 2 Control

Strengths: Reliable and affordable. It does the job and does it well.

Weakness: The start button is a little bit small and hard to get to when you need to call a "time-out" with only seconds left.

Made by Sony, this is standard equipment for the PS2. It has a comfortable fit in the hand, but not as comfortable as the controllers made for XBox. My only complaint is that the "Start" button is small and hard to get to when you have only a few seconds left to call a time-out during a football game. Otherwise, it is a reliable and affordable accessory. Currently, the prices appear to be lower for a purchase made "online" versus an "in-store" purchase, but not if you pay for shipping. The same controller at Walmart.com is $19.99 purchased online, but $24.99 in the store. I made my purchase from Target.com for $15.99 during a weekend sale and used an online Target coupon to get free shipping.

OEM

Strengths: comfortable, great control layout. weight.

Weakness: wish the cord was a bit longer.

My dog bit my ps controller, so i decided to go for the Dualshock2 Controller. I chose the Sony brand because im a a bit cautious they would operate the same as the OEM. Same great controller, but with dual analog control and vibration! Handles great as the original. Would definately buy it again, though not the same color.
