Strengths: Great story, voice acting, soundtrack, choice between dark and light side, Star Wars universe.
Weakness: High learning curve, poor frame rate and load times have NOT been improved since the original.
Another developer has picked off where Bioware has left off and created another great Star Wars RPG. Like the original, KOTR II feels almost like a MMORPG, with the massive world, menu system, character interaction and battle system. The same battle system from the original is back - you basically command your party what to do but you can pause at anytime to change up strategy. I still would have preferred real-time combat but this works. Once again, players can enjoy deciding between light and dark side decisions. The story is very deep with nearly everything being voice acted. I'm disappointed that the developer was not able to improve the long load times or the bad frame rate. Instead of spending more time to perfect the engine, it feels like they just reused the exact same engine and slapped on a different story and characters. Nevertheless, this is another great game to add to the Star Wars mythos.

Strengths: Impressive story, detailed characters, another great Star Wars RPG
Weakness: Abruptly-ended storyline, stuttering graphics, bad loadtimes
KOTOR2 is set five years after the first game, with the near-extermination of the Jedi. It uses the same game engine as the first game, with the unfortunate problems of stuttering graphics and long loadtimes. Those issues should have been fixed with the new game. As an RPG, it's top-notch, with plenty of NPC's and characters to interact with, many areas to explore, and a fantastic adventure in the Star Wars universe. One problem is that the story was cut short to make the ship date, and some continuity aspects of that story are removed from the ending. Even with that omission, it's still a very impressive RPG, and doubly-so for a Star Wars game.

Whether you're a kotor fan or not this is one of the best rpg's I have played. It has seemingly endless paths you can take. Loads of character skills and jedi powers to choose from. Create good and bad relationships with other characters. Many hours of gameplay and whether you beat it or not it is just as much fun no matter how many times you start back from the beginning. Overall a great game.

This is a very fun star wars game even if you dont like the series. It's a great rpg that lets you do whatever you want almost. You can play it multiple times obviously because of the good/evil paths. It takes up a lot of hours so its worth the money.

KOTOR 2 picks up after the events of KOTOR 1, but still thousands of years before the events of the Star Wars films we know and love. Just like in the 1st game, players have the option of choosing between the powers of good and the forces of evil. Players start off as a Jedi in this game, and set of in a journey to discover themselves as they pick up the pieces from their past. A worthy successor to a fantastic game.

KOTOR2 is the sequal to the popular RPG base on the Star Wars universe. The story is just as good as the first game, and better in some parts. The battle system is still turn base, but it is a bit easier to get into. The problem with this game is that it is the development time is shorten, which result in many bugs and an incomplete ending.

Strengths: Same as the first, Great Storyline and a solid RPG.
Weakness: Character creation may still be too simple for true D&D fans, Load times can be loooong
Overall I enjoyed this game, much as I did the first. But, being a true D&D fan, this game unfortunatly could not bring to the table the character and battle aspects that Baulders Gate and such games could. However, action is combined well into this dynamic RPG.

Strengths: Great gameplay and weapons. Storyline was solid.
Weakness: It was easy to find myself going back to the same thing Over and Over again hoping to drive the story forward. I wasted hours trying to negotiate my way through.
Besides being horribly boring in some parts and outrageously disorienting. KOTOR 2 is still a great game with the same solid feel the first game had. While there were no visible improvements in the graphics from the first in this series, it was still a great game to play and conquer. Which, by the way, was much easier than I had forseen.

Strengths: It's the greatest Star Wars game...it's just that simple.
Weakness: Loading times.
KOTOR II is yet another addition to the great Star Wars franchise. This game offers so much in the way of role-playing it just leaves you wanting to play the game over amd over, but each time you get a different result on how you play through the game. One of the best parts of the game is the allignment...ah yes to be a power hungry sith or a tranquil jedi knight; you'll have fun either way. Also in this game you get a prestige class similar to your jedi class in the original, only the prestige class lets you be what you've always wanted to be in a Star Wars game. This game is so long that you'll be able to play it until you fall asleep in your chair, 5 inches away from the television. The only downside I found was the loading screens...there is one around every corner, but it is so worth the 18 second wait. If you have an Xbox you see this game on the shelf, pick it up and go buy it, it's that simple.
Knights of the Old republic 2 improves some over the first installment. KOTOR 2 has good graphics, decent story, good missions, they've added new characters. The end wasn't that great. But I would recommend KOTOR II to any fan of the first Knights of the Old Republic, starwars, or RPG game.
Strengths: Star Wars RPG storyline, voiceacting, morals decide your quest
Weakness: Similar to the previous game, graphics will not blow you away
Star Wars: KOTOR II is the sequel to the original KOTOR for the Xbox. The original KOTOR was one of the best RPGs for the XBox and KOTOR II stays similar to its predecessor.
Moral decisions cause you to become part of the light side or the dark side and will overall sway you towards the Jedi or the Sith.
The storyline is very good considering it ties in with a lot of the Star Wars history. The voiceacting is some of the best work that I have heard and the game is very engaging and fun to play.
Considering the game is on the Xbox and is part 2 of the series, I expected a little more graphically. The graphics to me are decent and will not blow you away.
The game features more equipment and Force powers than the previous game and all of your party characters are new as well. Overall, I would highly recommend purchasing this game.
Strengths: Good storyline, ability to interact in Star Wars world
Weakness: Some things haven't changed from last game, graphics, load times.
I really enjoy this type of game, a good blend of RPG, level ups and fighting sequences. As before, you can choose between light and dark side, which ensures replayability. The story may not be quite as good as the first, (it is hard to improve on) but a fun game to play and recent price drop really helps. I highly recommend for any Star Wars or RPG fan.
Strengths: the graphics are improved, more items and gear, high replay value and you can visit some of the planets from the first game.
Weakness: load times are WAY too long and frequent and there are some times where it will glitch and slow down. besides this the ending rots.
If you can deal with the glitches and load times you should like this game. It is definetly a step up from kotor 1 in the gameplay department but a major step down in the glitch department.
Strengths: It's the sequel to the best Star Wars game ever.
Weakness: More of the same if you want to call that a bad thing.
Star Wars: KOTOR II is the sequel to the 2003 game of the year. This game takes place 4000 years before the actual movies. You basically create your own character and go from planet to planet and complete the particular mission on that planet. If you played the first game you will be right at home since everything is pretty much the same save for a few new force powers. The story is not as good as the first one, but it's still good buy today's standards. If you like RPGs and Star Wars you should be all over this one.
Strengths: Star Wars Universe, deep storyline, light & dark sides
Weakness: Long loading times
Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic II is the second Star Wars RPG for the Xbox. This game is nearly identical to the first game in every way except for the storyline. This game takes place 5 years after the last game ended and there is only one Jedi left. It is up to you whether you will fight for the light side or turn into a Sith Lord and fight on the dark side. The combat engine is the same as the previous game. You select the actions and then the characters will perform them. While this is happening, you can move your character around in real-time, but that's just visuals and not really real-time fighting. There was virtually nothing wrong with the first game, and there's no difference here. It's worth playing for Star Wars fans and RPG fans.
