Still going strong

Strengths: Relatively inexpensive, stable, great company website

Weakness: none so far

I chose this memory based both on price and manufacture. The website provides a comprehensive section to educate buyers on what various memory spec terms mean and what to look for based on these specs. This allows buyers to make sure they purchase the right memory for their system and don't end up having computability or performance problems.

To me, this also indicates that Corsair is a company that is very much concerned about costumer satisfaction - VERY important when considering any purchase.

7/26/06:

I've had no problems with my current module; and for the price... I'll be buying another one of these real soon.

Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Very good deal and it operates great! The price/performance is unparalleled. Also, the merchandise arrived quickly.

Weakness: None!

I really need some RAM for my PC and my girlfriends new iMAC, the ultimate ram hog. I ordered 3 X 1 gig ram chips and it works great in both computers. I highly recommend this RAM to anyone. It is cheaper and better performing than others in its class.

Great Value!

Strengths: Awesome Ram. Corsair ram is the best. Lifetime guarantee!

Weakness: Cas 3 but you can't really complain for this price!

I would highly recommend this ram if you are looking to increase the speed your computer. Put 2 sticks of these bad boys in your computer and you will notice a big increase in performance. For overclockers this ram has some moderate overclocking abilities but I wouldn't count on hyper overclocking it.

Corsair 1GB PC3200 a Value Memory

Strengths: Cheap and reliable, works perfectly

Weakness: none...

For the price I paid for this Memory, this was a steal for me. The Ram worked perfectly after just popping in the sticks, with no difficulty watsoever. The computer's speed seems to have increased dramatically. This Ram can't go wrong.

Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Helped Cool down computer considerably, Price, compatible with most motherboards (PC and MAC)

Weakness: Not good for overclocking, Won’t run well with corsair xms 2700

The ram is great, and after running it over a memory tester and doing some major video editing and rendering with these I have to say that the VS1GB400C3 works great. Using the mem tester for over 24 hours there were no error in the PC. I also wanted to add that the ram helped bring the temp down by 5 degrees Celsius.

However through these tests I have also concluded that the ram does not work well with other corsair xms 512 2700 (of course I didn’t think it would work but it was worth a try) logging over 3000 errors in less than 1 hour.

I also tested these in an imac and g5, and they all worked great.

Over all, if you need cheap ram and don’t plan on doing any overclocking, this is for you.

Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Easy to install, boosts system performance

Weakness: None so far

Like any computer geek will tell you, upgrading your memory is the easiest way to improve system performance. I chose this memory stick because of its reputable brand name coupled with its reasonable price. Like all memory, it was quick and easy to install. I plugged it into a Sony Vaio that originally only came with 256mb, and have yet to see my system stutter or stall. Highly recommended.

Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Corsair memory quality, a whole GB in one stick and for a decent price!

Weakness: Don't even try to compare it to fancy memory such as TwinX... CAS 2 not stable.

Absolutely no complaints with that memory.

Tested it thoroughly with Memtest'86 3.1a and it passed ALL tests without errors.

Using it in a Epox 8KDA3+ mainboard with a Athlon 64 2800+ CPU and AMD cool & quiet WORKS, which was the reason I bought 1x 1GB instead of 2x 512MB matched RAM (check the Epox forums to find out more about this issue).

Not overclocking, running rock stable at 2.5-3-8-3 right now. Highly recommended stick with a good bang for the buck and Corsair's lifetime warranty and good name in the balance!

Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Very fast. Very good price.

Weakness: None.

Got this in the mail and popped it into my computer no problem, I have already noticed a sizable spead increase over just one gig between 2 slots to 2 gigs (2x512 and this ram). I am really liking my computer again now. It had been getting a little slow while doing very graphics intensive applications.

Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Fast and reliable. No incompatibility issues at all.

Weakness: Doesn't like to overclock too much. Was only able to achieve a 212mhz fsb for memory.

I'd definitely recommend this memory. It runs really fast and stable in dual channel ddr mode, and i've had zero issue with it.

It's also worthwhile to note that now i'm able to run multiple memory intensive apps at the same time without having to wait for the pc to switch from one app to another.

If you're upgrading from 512mb ddr to 2 gb ddr, you'll notice a difference when you run many apps at the same time. In other words, you won't experience a slow down at all.

Cheers!

Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: It works

I installed it in an iMac G5 1.8Ghz, next to the 256MB stick installed by Apple. I don't know too much about RAM and levels of quality, but my experience is that I put it in and it works fine, substantially speeded up the system, and has caused no instability or weirdness. I gave it 4 stars simply because I don't have any basis of comparison to say it is "one of the best," I just know that it works for me, but I would certainly purchase again and don't have any complaints.

Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: fast and realiable

Weakness: n/a

Have no problem with installation whatsoever, the product is well-tested and work on my crappy motherboard (ECS). I do a lot of editing picture with adobe photoshop, and i noticed that the speed of the computer is increased. Get less lag or frozen time.
In my opinion, for the price and the money, Corsair has bringing the piece of quality memory to affordable and satisfaction to customer.
Definitely Recommended!!!

Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Affordable and Stable for average users!

Weakness: not for overclocking. Cas 3

Been running stable for a week with no problems at all. Ran memtest86 with no errors. Trustworthy Brand! 1gb stick leaves room for upgrade if needed. Would purchase again! Highly recommended.

Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Unbeatable price for memory from one of the most trusted names in memory! Reliable. I've been using Corsair memory for several years now. No problems at all. Can't beat the lifetime warranty either.

Weakness: None so far. I haven't overclocked it or anything like that.

I'm an ordinary guy like you who's looking for memory to improve system performance without breaking the wallet. I bought 4 x 1GB sticks and installed them in less than 5 minutes. My Dell 8400 recognized them immediately and I was up and running withing 10 minutes of opening the memory packaging. Corsair is a name brand you can trust. There are now numerous memory manufacturers out there. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND LOOK FOR REVIEWS. You'll see some less than favorable comments on some of those cheaper memory sticks. You can probably save a few bucks going with some of the other brands but why would you save $40 if you're putting this kind and amount of memory in your system? If you're a gamer or into heavy editing of digital photography, do yourself a favor and get a brand you know is reliable such as Corsair. Plus with the occassional rebates, you can get them for a steal. Plus I've found that they hold their re-sale value pretty well. When I upgraded to 4x1GB sticks, I sold my 4x512MB for close to original price. Why? People know the name and brand and will buy it over others. Two thumbs up!

review for the memory

Strengths: cheap. good function

Weakness: no

I bought this a couple months ago to upgrade my old computer. It is a great deal when I bought it since it's very cheap. It works great by far in my computer and the speed is blazing fast. I like it very much. It's beyond my expect for that price.

Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: single 1gb chip, very stable (not overclocked), good value for the money.

Weakness: slower speed CAS 3.

Got 2 of these for my system and has been running for over 19 days (not continuous) and so far no system instability issues yet. With this memory price continue to drop I might get a couple more so I can install vmware on the pc to setup multiple virtual pcs. I am very happy with the purchase knowing that corsair will stand behind their product if there are any problems.

Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Installing this RAM into my system increased performance by tenfold.

Weakness: No

I was a little hesitant to purchase this memory chip for my iMac G5 but I'm glad I did. It took me all of five minutes to pop the back of my iMac open and install it. After connecting the cables to my iMac I booted it up and my iMac was flying. It detected it with no issues. I would highly recomend this chip for anyone who has a iMac G5 and wants the 1 GB memory upgrade.

Great RAM for money. Using 2 sticks with Abit BD7-II Raid. Got a big boost from 512 Mb. Applications as Architectural Desktop open and work several times faster then before. Speed was not what I was looking for.

Strengths: Works great as I pop this memory into my box, no problem at all.

Weakness: None

This is a great product at best price. Even though the lantency is only 3.0 but you paid what you get. I did not try to overclock it since my mother board does not have the option to adjust fsp.

Corsair Value Select 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Stable, life time warranty, less expensive.

Weakness: None

Corsair is a brand name to me. I had 1GB (2x512MB) in my Dell Dimension 4600. It was very stable. Now with this price, I purchased 2GB more to make my computer has 3 GB memory. I never regret my purchase. After I put the 2GB in my computer, I saw noticeable performance imporvements.
